The Cellar of Gelatin

Hi!

I'm cellar gelatin. This is my blog about D&D, mostly, and maybe some bookposts. I keep writing these things so I figured I might as well have somewhere to put them.

Here's a short personal history so I can pick out a theme that looks nice.

A Short Personal History So I Can Pick Out a Theme That Looks Nice

I got started playing D&D in a basement in high school. My first character was a thief, and the ruleset was AD&D, loosely conceived from a motley collection of the Dungeon Master's inherited texts. From there I got into other games, mostly more D&Ds, and started running games with the 2014 edition as a college freshman.

Since then, I've returned somewhat to my roots with the long tail of the undead "OSR" movement. I like the scene's DIY ethos very much: It reminds me of the first time I played D&D, when I realized it was the kind of game one could play forever and ever as long as you kept having interesting ideas.

Current Projects

I'm currently a player in a variety of campaigns and am running a campaign of B4: The Lost City.

My other hobbies

My other hobbies include reading, cooking, wandering through estate sales, and pretending to cast spells at local goth clubs.
